Vicki improves for netball

I started working out with MBM in 2010 when I November of that year and then decided running was not for me. However I enjoyed exercising, just not continuous hill runs and changed over to a weekly group class at Epping.

I enjoyed the class so much with our great trainer Karen that by the end of 2011 I started doing two classes a week. In 2012 I became pregnant with my second child and took a break from MBM. In 2013 when Josh was four months old I came back to MBM and did one group class a week. It was hard at first as it was a bit of juggle trying to do the class and look after Josh at the same time but Karen and the other girls in the class are a great support for me and Josh. Josh has many mums during the class keeping an eye on him.

Since 2008, I started playing netball again competitively on a Saturday. I have always enjoyed netball but this year our team went up two grades to A2. The MBM class definitely helped me to improve my fitness so I was able to keep up with the fast pace of A grade netball as well as keeping up with a very active toddler.

Now, at almost four Josh looks forward to Monday morning class as he gets to play in the park, ride his scooter or do the exercises with me. He particularly likes running and there is always running in Karen’s class. I am also looking forward to 2018 when Josh will be at school and I can once again join in the after-class coffee and gossip session.
