Health Marathon

42 days to make a difference


What’s the challenge about?

The Health Marathon is 42 days of building up to healthy eating and exercise, and creating new healthy habits. Marathon training is all about building up endurance and gradually training your body to take on new distances, 42km in fact! You can’t do that in the first week so it’s a gradual build over time. The Health Marathon is similar. It’s all about introducing healthy changes over a period of six weeks.

What is the goal of the challenge?

  • To complete all the tasks of the challenge so that you form some new healthy habits over a six-week period
  • To set yourself a personal goal – weight loss, measurement loss, strength improvement etc over the six weeks

What do you have to do?

At the start of the challenge you will decide on your goal for the six weeks. It’s your own personal goal and is specific to you.

Every week you will be given some challenges to complete along three themes:

  1. Exercise and movement
  2. Food and beverage
  3. Health and wellbeing

PLUS there will be a one-off wildcard each week which could relate to any of those themes.

We will build on the challenges every week over the 42 days. These challenges will be completely achievable by all participants. They are designed to work for everyone.

Examples:

  1. Completing a certain number of hours of exercise in a week
  2. Reducing portion sizes of your main meals
  3. Finding “you” time each week

This challenge can be completed anywhere as it’s a virtual challenge. It’s an honour system so we trust you will complete all tasks in the timeframe provided.

What is the time period of the challenge?

Starting date: Monday 20 May 2019

Completion date: Sunday 30 June 2019

What do you receive and how much does it cost?

The Health Marathon costs $25 and includes the following:

  • Weekly health challenges for six weeks
  • Weekly one-off wildcard challenges
  • A template to complete for the 42 days to keep you on track
  • Support and motivation by being part of a team
  • Guidance from a qualified Fitness Coach
  • Assistance with setting your initial goal
  • Access to a private facebook group (you don’t have to be on facebook to participate in the challenge though)
  • If you complete the challenge successfully over the 42 days you go into a draw to win a $50 e-voucher to a store of your choice

How do you complete the challenge successfully?

  • You will have completed all the tasks provided over the 42 days
  • Your personal goal has been achieved

What are the terms and conditions?

  1. You have no health related injuries or illnesses that would affect you participating in this program.
  2. Payment is required in advance and will be non-refundable if you decide to cease participating in the program.
  3. In order to be eligible for the prize draw you must have completed all challenges provided over the 42 days of the challenge and your personal goal should have been achieved. This is an honour system.
  4. This is a virtual training program. This program will be provided with the understanding that the participant will take full responsibility for their actions throughout this program and will endeavour to exercise safely at all times. If they do not, then Mind Body Motion will not be held responsible for any injuries.
