Fitness coaches

Mind Body Motion has several well qualified fitness coaches, who all have certification in Fitness levels III and IV so they are able to effectively prescribe exercise for an outdoor or indoor environment. They have Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance, a Senior First Aid Certificate as well as other qualifications in specific areas such as boxing or diet/nutrition.

Kaz

Kaz is the Director and principal trainer at Mind Body Motion. She started Mind Body Motion in 2006.

Kaz has personally assisted many clients to achieve their goals, whether that be to run the City 2 Surf, lose weight, lower their blood pressure, ward off a risk of Diabetes Type II, or to generally increase their fitness levels. She is completely passionate about exercise, one could almost say obsessed! She began her love affair with training over 20 years ago. She enjoys helping clients to see exercise as a regular part of their lifestyle rather than a chore.

Having spent over 13 years in a Corporate environment, specialising in team management and operations, she combines her people management and business skills  to motivate her clients to overcome any obstacles to improving their health, fitness and quality of life.

Kaz lives in Chatswood with her partner Colin, who is currently training to become a fitness professional also.

Kaz covers the Hills District, Lower and Upper North Shore and the Northern Suburbs.

 


Karen

Karen is not only a personal trainer, she has a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is perfect for our clients! Diet and exercise go hand in hand. She has been working as a Dietitian for over 12 years. She is passionate about helping others feel great and ensuring that healthy eating and exercise fits into their lifestyle. Karen enjoys netball, tennis, cooking and everything to do with food!

Karen lives in West Ryde and is married to Paul and they have two girls, Abby and Sophie.

Karen covers the Northern Suburbs including Epping, the Ryde area, Drummoyne, Eastwood, Marsfield and Gladesville.

 


Emma

Emma has recently transitioned from a career in graphic design across to personal training. She started her own weight loss journey 3 years ago and has lost over 30 kgs in that time so she can certainly empathise with the challenges of weight loss! She currently trains with her own personal trainer to guide, motivate and encourage her.  She has completed the City 2 Surf twice, as well as other local fun runs. She is currently working with a nutritionist to help her with her diet.

Emma is originally from Melbourne and currently lives in Neutral Bay.

Emma covers the Lower North Shore including Naremburn, Kirribilli, North Sydney and surrounding suburbs.

Julie

Julie comes from a finance background and practiced as a Certified Practicing Accountant for 12 years prior to joining the fitness industry. She joined her local gym and running club in 2005 when she took maternity leave and has since then become a triatholon and cycling enthusiast, participating in events through her local triathlon club. This ignited her passion in fitness and lead to her obtaining her fitness qualifications.

Julie lives in Quakers Hill with her husband James, and her children Cate and Jack.

Julie covers the Hills District including Kellyville, Rouse Hill, West Pennant Hills, Castle Hill and the surrounding suburbs.

 


Dani

Dani's background is in finance in various industries. She has a love of health and fitness which is how she came to complete her Fitness Certificate in 2006. Dani is currently working one day a week in her finance role, working part time as a trainer for Mind Body Motion, and is a full time mum, which obviously plays a huge role in her life.

Dani lives in St Ives and is married to Rob and they have three children; Andrew, Alicia and Jessica.

Dani covers the Upper North Shore including St Ives, Wahroonga, Turramurra and the neighbouring suburbs.

 


Johanna - Yoga instruction

Previously from the corporate world, Johanna’s desire for a lifestyle that was more balanced, holistic and fulfilling led her to embark upon a life-changing journey. 

Johanna currently consults with people seeking to create healthier, trimmer lifestyles by modifying their dietary habits and challenging their relationships with food. Her other passion is yoga. Having practiced for the past 10 years, it has been her silent partner in her own growth and evolution, both physically and spiritually.  She recently gained her Level 1 Certification in yoga teaching at Samadhi Yoga. She practices in the hatha, vinyasa and dynamic / power yoga styles.

Johanna’s aspiration is to encourage others to be nurtured by incorporating yoga and making lifestyle choices that help them move toward experiencing joy and balance in life. 

Johanna lives in Wareemba with her husband and is currently teaching yoga at West Pennant Hills.
