Fitness Check
Would you like to measure your fitness levels to see how you are progressing on a regular basis? We are offering you a Fitness Check Package that is a little different to our normal initial fitness assessments.
In a 30 minute Fitness Check you will be measured on a number of tests and activities. We will conduct the tests initailly and then reassess these again in 8 weeks and 16 weeks. All measurements will be recorded and you will be provided with information as to how you can improve on these measures. This is a consistent structured way of measuring whether your fitness levels are improving, and it gives you the added focus to improve for the next round.
The Fitness Check consists of:
1. Resting heart rate
2. Flexibility measurement
3. Waist measurement
4. Hip measurement
5. Sit up test (there are four levels)
6. Push up test (how many you can do on your knees or toes)
7. Prone test (how long you can hold a prone)
8. Step test (your heart rate measurement over a 3 minute period of jog ups)
9. Sprint for 20m (how fast you can run)
10. Beep test (a measured running test to a series of beeps)
For those who have a reasonable fitness level and would like to take it one step further, there is a further 5 exercises that we can do in a row, consisting of completing a number of activities or completing as many as you can in a timed environment.
