Fit for work!

In today's busy environment, everyone is trying to fit more into their day. Work, family, leisure activities, social functions...and god forbid that you fit in anything to assist you improve your health and wellness! We have 10,080 minutes in a week and the exercise recommendation is 30 minutes per day, so how do we find 210 minutes in our 10,080 minutes in a week?? Sounds easy doesn't it? Somehow it doesn't seem to be!

One way is to exercise during the day. This means you don't have to get up early and you don't have to find time at the end of your day when you are tired. You aren't cutting into your valuable sleep time or the time you want to spend with your family.

We work with small to medium sized businesses to organise health and wellness programs for their employees. Our Fit for Work! program encompasses a Health and Wellness presentation and group exercise classes over a period of weeks. We include a Fitness Challenge to ensure that every participant has a goal to work towards and can measure their improvements. 

Training with colleagues is beneficial from a bonding perspective, getting to know each other, and also just having fun together as a team. Plus the benefits to employers is significant. You have a happier and healthier employee, helping to reduce stress, improve focus and reduce time off work as a result of illness.

Let us introduce you to some of the teams that we have worked with over the last few years!


AT&T

In March 2009, AT&T approached us to run a fitness program for their teams at North Sydney and West Pennant Hills. We ran classes for 6 weeks and when these classes were completed, several of the guys decided to continue on their own. Both teams trained with us for a further 12 months.

The teams have achieved some great results. Sam was one of our Star Clients of the month, achieving weight loss and reduced girth measurements. as well as completing our City 2 Surf  program in 2010. Manfred ran with us in the City 2 Surf in 2009 and in 2010. Gerard and Pete completed the City 2 Surf in 2010, and Pete did his first Half Marathon prior to that in May  2010. We are pleased to have been able to assist these teams with their fitness levels and we are proud to see them going on to bigger and better achievments!

AT&T also completed our 12 week Fitness Challenge in 2010 and achieved some outstanding improvements! We hope to run another program for them in 2011.


Reckitt Benckiser

Kaz trained Frederique, the former Marketing Director at Reckitt Benckiser for over 2 years before she moved to Belgium. in 2010. In April 2008 Frederique suggested that perhaps her team might like to do some exercise at lunch time, and could we assist with a program.We started a class at lunch time out at West Ryde, down the road from their office. Over time we increased the training by adding in an additional class. The Reckitt Benckiser team trained with us for over 2 years.

Computershare

Ali from Computershare contacted Mind Body Motion in October 2009 about running a class for a ten week period at a park down the road from their office, on a weeknight after work.All of the girls wanted to improve their health and wellness and one in particular was training in order to pass the fitness tests to enter the Police Force. We ere able to assist them with their 10 week program.

TPG

One of our former clients Michelle worked at TPG and suggested that perhaps we could get a lunch time class together for some of her work mates. Michelle was a dynamo and rallied the troups, and in October 2009 she encouraged a group of the guys to exercise at lunch time in a local park in North Ryde. We trained with them for 9 months.
