Boost your cardio

When it comes to cardio, this is incredibly easy to do. You can do intervals rather than just running or walking at a steady state. Introduce other forms of cardio like sports or bodyweight exercises. Even just adding in a hilly walk every day will give you an extra calorie burn and be good for your heart and lungs. Incidental exercise is gold. Walk to the shops, park further away and so on. You would be surprised that the little extra bits every day add up.

Muscle atrophy is when muscles waste away. The main reason for muscle wasting is a lack of physical activity. This can happen when a disease or injury makes it difficult or impossible for you to exercise or have full mobility.

Star Client of the month - Myfanwy

I would like to think that my involvement in Mind Body Motion was a series of well-planned and executed steps on a road to better fitness. Actually what happened is that I went to my doctor about some knee problems and one of the first things she suggested was exercise to build up my leg muscles.  She then assessed how much exercise I was currently doing - and apart from pacing back and forth on the phone at work or walking between my children's bedrooms to get them to get up / get dressed / do homework / go to bed, there wasn't much. Her second suggestion was to try MBM, something she was involved in herself.
