Awards 2010

Mind Body Motion Achievement Award 2010

This year we see 18 Mind Body Motion clients working towards their goals from April to September 2010. That is an increase of 50% on last year's entrants!!!

PLUS, four of the Mind Body Motion fitness coaches have decided to enter as well. We will not be elligible for the prize of course, however this year we have decided to "walk the talk" and show you that we can set and achieve goals as well!

Regardless of whether an individual has one goal, or four, each goal presents a challenge for each person and hasn't previously been achieved. Congratulations to everyone for stepping out of their comfort zone, setting some goals, and sharing them!

Helen

  1. Improve fitness through the beep test, improvement in number of squat jumps and stair runs
  2. Improve balance measured by the ability to complete single leg squats on an overturned Bosu
  3. Improve core strength measured by a prone with no discomfort to her back, and improvement in foetal crunches with a 5kg ball

Declan

  1. To complete the SMH Half marathon in May 2010 in under 2 hours
  2. To complete the Blackmore's Half Marathon in September 2010 in under 2 hours
  3. To be able to swim 50 lengths of a 25m pool



Pete

  1. To complete the SMH Half Marathon in May 2010 in 2 hours and 30 mins
  2. To complete the City 2 Surf in less than 2 hours
  3. To complete the Oxfam 100km walk (entry still to be accpeted by Oxfam as @ April 2010)


Guy

  1. To complete the City 2 Surf in 90 mins (first time)
  2. To reduce waist measurements by 5cm
  3. To lose 5 kgs



Keshena

  1. To reduce a size in clothing
  2. To reduce waist and hip measurements by 2-5cm
  3. To complete the City 2 Surf in under 2 hours (first time)



Sunara

  1. To complete the City 2 Surf in under 100 min (first time)
  2. To achieve overall weight loss and reduce measurements on hips and waist by 2-5 cm
  3. To complete the Mothers Day Fun Run in May 2010 in under 60 mins



Sam

  1. Reduce waist measurements to by 4-5 cm
  2. Complete the Bay to Bay 12 km run in June May 2010 (first time)
  3. Complete the City to Surf in less than 2 hours (first time)



Sarah

  1. Improve upper body strength measured by improvement of completion of pushups on both knees and toes
  2. Improve core strength and posture measured by improvement in particular core exercises inc. prone
  3. Complete the City 2 Surf in under 100 mins (first time)


Steph

  1. Improve overall fitness levels measured by reducing heart rate in the step test < 160 bpm, resting heart rate lower than <87bpm
  2. Improvement in fatigue levels measured by less periods of fatigue
  3. Reduce waist and hips/thighs by 1-2 cm


Kristy

  1. Complete the City 2 Surf in less than 2 hours (first time)
  2. Complete the City 2 Surf by running non-stop
  3. Reduce her hip measurements by 2-5cm



Gail

  1. Lose a further 10kg by 8 September (birthday)
  2. Increase fitness levels by July 1 in order to ski from Blue Cow to Perisher Front Valley including all green runs in between
  3. Complete City 2 Surf and improve on her time from 2009



Belinda

  1. Lose a further 5kg
  2. Fit into clothing that has previously been too tight
  3. Increase tone - visual measurement as well as actual measurements of muscle gain

 

Anne

  1. Lose 5kg
  2. Reduce her hips and waist measurements by 5cm
  3. Complete the City 2 Surf in less than 90 mins, improving her time from last year by 10 minutes
  4. Improve fitness through the beep test

Leslee

  1. Reduce weight to 85kg
  2. Reduce waist measurement by 3-5cm
  3. Achieve PILA (Personal Incentive Level A). This is an army fitness level. 60 pushups on toes and 80 sit ups (hands on thighs and wrist over knees)


Gina

  1. Reduce 5cm from her waist and hips
  2. Walk the City 2 Surf in less than 2 hours, improving her time from last year by 26 mins
  3. Improve the step test result from average to good i.e. under 130bpm


Andrew

  1. Reduce waist measurement by at least 2cm
  2. Improve fitness through the beep test, improvement in number of squat jumps, stair runs, pushups and prones
  3. Have Kaz say "Andrew, you have a hot body"!!

 

Saara

  1. Lose 10kg
  2. Complete the City 2 Surf in less than 2 hours (her first time)
  3. Reduce her waist and hips by a further 2 cm

 

Dave

  1. Gain 5kg
  2. Gain 2cm on his arms by bulking up

  1. Reduce her measurements - 5cm on hips, 2cm on arms, 2cm on legs, 2cm on chest
  2. Complete 10 pushups on her toes with good form, improving on her current position 
  3. Complete the City 2 Surf (again)

  1. Complete the City 2 Surf in less than 100 mins (first time)
