Bloody Long Walk

Come and join us for training for the 35km Bloody Long Walk in November 2019!

What is the program about?

The Bloody Long Walk is a nationwide activity across Australia. We have signed up to do the Malabar to The Rocks walk on 10 November 2019 and we'd like you to join us!

What training will we do?

The training will be a combination of activities:

  • MBM-lead training walks (on the BLW route and other areas involving hills/stairs and so on) - two to four hours each walk depending on the date
  • Structured events such as City2Surf (14km) and 7 Bridges (27km) as part of our training
  • MBM Walking Club activities - one to two hours
  • Your own training

How do I know what training I need to do?

There will be an 18 week training plan provided commencing July until the BLW in November.

What is the cost?

Training plan $20

We recommend that you purchase the plan so that you train safely. It covers 18 weeks of training from Jul - Nov 2019.

MBM Walking Club walks - $10

You can sign up to these up to the day prior and pay as you go.

MBM training walks - $20

You need to sign up to these at least three days prior and pay as you go.

Walk 1 - Circular Quay to Rose Bay (approx. 2 hours)

Do you need to be fit?

You need a base level of fitness but we will prepare you and help you train for this event.

What do I do if I want to be involved?

  1. Book in for the Blody long Walk event. Choose the 6:40am wave and whichever shuttle bus suits you from where you live to get you to Malabar on the day.
  2. Sign up for the City2Surf. Sign up in the yellow group.
  3. Sign up for the 7Bridges walk when registrations commence.
  4. Purchase the training plan by contacting Kaz.
  5. Let us know which walks you will join.
